It's happened again - text eaten up by new text

Hey all, Hope you all had a nice weekend.

I tried to find the answer to this from my Saved replies from here & I may
have it in another folder. Nonetheless it is happening again. That is when I
am typing in Yahoo & other sites(Forums, Ezines, etc.) if I try & correct a
word within the text already typed, it eats up the succeeding text & I can't
recall how to resolve this.

any/all much appreciated.

Press the Insert button.
You have probably pressed it inadvertently and are in Overstrike mode.

Alan, thanks so much as I tried several other buttons, but Insert was
obviously not one - again, thanks for your help.
