It's back

Everytime I use the MS Window Update website to update XP Pro, it seems
something gets switched so that the MSN website becomes my IE6 Home Page,
versus the About Blank I had set.

Ran all the AV, Spy, Ad and other suggested apps in Safe Mode, posted a
HiJack log and was pronounced clean, set various anti-virus and anti-spyware
apps to lock the Home Page, so I get a warning when there is a switch
attempt.

Thought I had escaped by switching to FireFox 1.5.0.6, but after this
mornings Big Tuesday update, FireFox's HomePage was switched from Blank to
the MSN website. Checked IE6, and it's Home Page was also changed to the
MSN website. No warnings from the watchdogs.

When I checked SBS&D's Tools/Browser Pages, there were three pages listed as
linked Home Pages, and all three were the MSN website page.

Where do I find this in the Registry? I want to savage this annoying beast.

Thanks.

1. Are you posting here from the machine in question? If so, your headers
(Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2800.1409) tell me that it's /way/ behind on
updates!

2. Do you have any MSN software installed? Are you an MSN Premium
subscriber, possibly included as part of your Comcast account? Do you have
Windows Live Messenger or Windows Live Mail Desktop installed? Do you use
Windows Live Mail to access your MSN/Hotmail account? Do you use Windows
Live Spaces?

3. Are you running Norton or McAfee anti-virus? Zone Alarm (Free or Pro)?

4. Please cite a link to the forum thread where you'd posted your HijackThis
log for analysis.
