Items in mailbox root?!

I have just inadvertantly moved an email into the root of my mailbox. The
undo option is greyed out, and if I click the mailbox root I get the Outlook
Today screen. So my mail is now seemingly inaccessible. I'm using Outlook
2003, fully patched. If anyone knows how to get my mail back I'd be grateful
for advice.

I'm surprised this action doesn't cause an error condition... seems a bit
strange that the program logic would allow people to make this mistake.

I have seen this and there is a way. All you need to do is

- Right click on your mailbox folder
- Select Properties
- Select the HOME PAGE tab
- Remove the check mark next to "Show home page by default for this folder"
- Click OK

You should be able to see all items in the mailbox folder. Drag them into
your
inbox.

You can turn the Home Page back on by going back into the properties
of the mailbox folder and turning the check mark back on.

Thanks Nikki, that works a treat. There's a beer waiting for you the next
time you're in Hong Kong :-)
