Item Stuck in my Outbox

I have an email that is in my outbox that I can't send, delete, or move. I
just get a message that there is an unknown error. It's keeping me from
sending any other email as well.

anybody know what's up with this or how to fix it?

Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer
that is running Windows Vista

As a minimum, you would need to implement the Microsoft fix:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090
That should allow you to delete the stuck message, which will
restore your ability to send email.

The root cause of this problem is typically a non-compatible antivirus.
