it worked now it doesn't work

I have a lexmark x73 printer. Four days ago it worked
now it doesn't. It says theres a problem communicating
with the printer. How can I resolve it? It told me to
check under printer properties and make sure it had bi-
directional printing checkmarked and it is. Thanks

I'm no printer expert, but I would look at the printer cable connection, the
printer cable may need replacing or you may need to take it out and replug the
printer cable in. Just my opinion.
