On W2K italian, the Defender full scan if don't find a floppy in the A unit
show a alert window ("disk not found") with cancel, retry and ignore bottons.
If you try to cancel, retry or ignore nothing happens: the window return to
show.

Steve Dodson recommended to another user with this same symptom:

1) Uninstall WD thru Add and Remove Programs

2) Launch cmd prompt

3) MsiExec.exe /x {A5CC2A09-E9D3-49EC-923D-03874BBD4C2C}

4) Delete all contents of Directory of C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Definition Updates

5) Reinstall WD

I've seen this one myself--I believe it is a bug, and do not yet have a
workaround for it. It happens in US English installs, as well--perhaps only
on Windows 2000, though.

I'm not sure that's correct. I think that Steve posted this in relation to
an issue when installing updates involved a message about a disk.

I've tried this on the machine I have which shows this symptom and a) it
didn't help, and b) I didn't find the stuff under "all users" that should
have been there.

That latter finding may be relevant.
