It doesn't work

Hi All

I have MS AntiSpyware installed with latest definitions downloaded. I also
have Ad-Aware installed also with latest definitions. I have found that MS
AntiSpyware simply does not work. It has not picked up one suspect file. I
will frenquently run a full system scan with MS AntiSpyware and it will
always say that the system is spyware free, with zero suspect files. Then, I
will run a full system scan with Ad-Aware, and it will pick up spyware
files, sometimes, less than 10, sometimes more than ten.

Despite MS having real time protection, I simply cannot rely on it and have
decided to uninstall it to reduce the start up drag by one less program.

Hi

MSAS works and the difference between Adaware and MSAS is
that MSAS do not scan for dataminers and tracking cookies.
(I also belive that MSAS never will search for this
beacuse MS is to close some companys using tracking cookies)

Check within your Adaware log if it is so.

Keep them both ! Real time protection is really important.

Restart in Safe Mode, on the scan page choose Scan Options > Full System
Scan (check boxes below) click Run Scan Scan Now.
