Issue with delegates deleting meeting request

Can some one help.

i am starting to get calls from some of our users reporting that meeting
request are being deleted from there calendar without them deleting them.

Upon investigation i have found that what is happening is that the user has
a delegate setup who is also recieving the meeting request but as they are
not required to do anything with the meeting request they are deleting it
from there inbox.

This is then causing the meeting request not only to be deleted from their
calendar but also from the calendar of the person that they are a delegate for

We are running Outlook 2003 SP 3 with Exchange 2003
 
Open users Outlook mailbox, not the delegates, and select Tools>>Options, in Options window, select Delegates tab.

Uncheck the box below "Delegates" names that says "Send meeting request and response only to my Delegates..."

If that box is unchecked, you can look on the calendar permissions for the delegate in question and the same checkbox appears under their "permissions" options - Microsoft, more than one way to skin a cat. 8o
