Hi everyone,

I have Linux on my one of the hard drives then i installed
xp. I think xp has overwritten the mbr.

Is there any way to resolve this. I know this is not the
right place to post but i need this to be resolved at the
earliest.

Detailed information on this is muchly appreciated.

regards
David

The fastest way to resolve this issue is to post in in
a Linux newsgroup. They can tell you how to restore
your Lilo boot loader.

.

Do you know a good one?

Boot from a floppy or CDRom that has a lilo/grub and a basic linux kernal. One possibility is http://trinux.sourceforge.net.
From there chroot to the linux partitions, run and remake a lilo/grub configuration file and that should install lilo/grub back to your mbr.

btw next time install xp first and then linux.
