I was just wondering - before I had to have my harddrive refomatted - there
was an icon for IIS on my taskbar - it is no longer there ...I'm running
xppro - fp2003 - do I need it? everything seems to be working ok...

Pam,
XP Pro shouldn't have an icon in the taskbar. Usually the icon was
for the Personal Web Server, an IIS cousin developed for Win 9x and NT 4.0.
The IIS that comes with Windows XP Pro should be found through the Control
Panel | Administrative Tools | Internet Information Services and there you
can turn it on and off. If you don't have this icon, go to Control Panel |
Add/Remove Software | Add/Remove Windows Components and select the IIS
option.

Hope this helps,
