ISP to upgrade to?

I have Tiscali broadband at the moment and thats,well,rubbish.
im downloading stuff at 20kb a second!
Any recommendations for a new isp? i know Bt is good, but are there any other i should consider for under £20 a month?

I'm with Virgin who i find are very good & the fact i'm in a non-cable area.

Do not go for talk talks free offer as it's badly run & you will wait months to get connected.

get plusnet, they will do up to 8Mbps for £20 a month, i have found the customer support and service to be excelent, the only problem im having are with BT upgrading my line

On the same note, when im downloading through steam for some reason its going about 8 kb a second... which is really annoying me since we are paying all this money for broadband and getting rubbish speeds

Ok then Mike - Plusnet seems the way to go as us Country Folk can't get cable...

Plusnet have a deal for £21.99 - on a 30:1 contention - up to 8Mb - its a top deal.

Just get 4 mates to sign up and it will be less than £20 a month.
