Bellsouth has recently prevented sending to 3rd Party
(Yahoo) POP accounts.

In Outlook 2000, I was able to setup my Yahoo account to
only Receive.

I recently upgraded to Outlook 2002, and everytime I
send/receive Outlook tries to send messages to my Yahoo
account resulting in an error and dialogue box.

With Outlook 2002, you cannot leave the outgoing SMTP
server name blank, you are forced to enter something.

I have also gone into the Send/Recieve groups setup and
unchecked the box to Send Messages for the Yahoo account,
but Outlook still tries to send.

Does anyone know how to stop Outlook from sending messages
to an account?

TIA

Have you tried putting your primary (Bell South's) SMTP address in the Yahoo
account's SMTP field?

So enter Bellsouth's SMTP server and, on the Outgoing Server tab of the
account properties, specify your Bellsouth username and password.

You can also uncheck "Include the select account in this group". You'll
have to manually perform a send/receive on that account, then, when you want
to check the mail.
