I would like to receive e-mail from my worldnet account in Vista's windows
mail, but can't seem to configure it properly. Keep getting error message:

account: 'postoffice.worldnet.att.net. 'server: 'postlffice.att.net,
'protocol: pop3, port: 110, secure(ssl): no, error code 0x800ccc19

Please help!!!

If that's an exact quote, the server name is misspelled:
postlffice.att.net should be postoffice.att.net.

It looks like you left out part of the POP server name

For Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server, type: postoffice.worldnet.att.net
For Outgoing mail (SMTP) server, type: mailhost.att.net

Thanks Dave; The supplied link helped alot, but I'm still not able to set up
my Windows Mail. Keep getting the "Server not responding' dialog box, and
the error code ... Account: 'postoffice.worldnet.att.net', Server:
'postoffice.worldnet.att.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No,
Error Number: 0x800CCC19.

Would appreciate any assistance ... from anyone concerning the above matter
and error code!

Thanks, Tony

Thank you Gary for pointing out the typo. I am still having the same problem ... 'Server not responding" error code,

Account: 'postoffice.worldnet.att.net', Server:
'postoffice.worldnet.att.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No,
Error Number: 0x800CCC19.

Any suggestions?

Try turning off email scanning in your antivirus program.

Tried turning off email scanning in my antivirus program, but the same thing is still happening only the error code has changed:

The connection to the server has failed. Account:
'postoffice.worldnet.att.net', Server: 'postoffice.worldnet.att.net',
Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error
Number: 0x800CCC0E

Good catch, Dave. I confirmed your findings; postoffice.worldnet.att.net
doesn't respond to anything, eventhough it still exists in DNS.

I found another page, with different servers for High-speed connections &
other ISP's...
http://www.wurd.com/settings.php

POP3 server: ipostoffice.worldnet.att.net (Port 995)
SMTP server: imailhost.worldnet.att.net (Port 465)

These appear to be online.
