ISearchTech.YSB detected by MSAS Beta 1

Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta 1 detects malware
ISearchTech.YSB in the registry but cannot remove it,
despite advising it will remove it and has removed it. A
search on Google for ISearchTech gives 19,000 hits. From
what I read the little devil is a browser helper object and
obviously regenerates itself after it has been removed.

Is MS aware of this malware and developing a tool to remove
it? Any advice on removing the blighter would be appreciated.

This is ISTbar and MSAS usually does well removing this,
Check your Add/Remove screen for These:

ISTbar
ISTsvc
SideFind
YourSiteBar/YSB

and remove if found, Also check the
C:drive "ProgramFiles" area for the same named folders
and remove them.

It may help you to reboot into safe mode first and after
removing the files if they exist run a full system scan
with MS Antispy(Reboot and keep tapping F8 then choose
safe mode from the list)

If you still have problems download these

Symantec Fix Tool

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/FxIstbar.exe

Ewido Security Suite :

http://www.ewido.net/en/

Install ewido.
During the installation, under "Additional Options"
uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via
context menu".
Launch ewido
On the left side of the main screen click update
Click on Start and let it update.

Download Ccleaner

http://www.ccleaner.com/ccdownload.asp

Reboot back to safe mode and run the Symantec fix tool by
double clicking FxIstbar.exe , Run Ewido and choose
scanner from the main menu then click complete system
scan

Finally use Ccleaner to remove all temp and unused files
from your system

Let us know if you have any problems
