ISEARCH toolbar intrusion

Somehow the ISEARCH toolbar has insinuated itself onto my
IE, taken over my ability to customize toolbars, and keeps
reseting the home page to ISEARCH, and now I am plagued by
pop-ups. Any ideas on which file is doing this?

Isearch claims that their toolbar can be removed by following the
instructions on this page -> http://toolbar.isearch.com/uninstall/ .
If it doesn't work, use AdAware <http://www.lavasoftusa.com/> or Spybot
<http://www.safer-networking.org> to forcefully detect and remove it.
