How can I prevent an error message Isass.Exe-Application, which goes on to
state 'The application failed to initalize properly (0xc0000005). click on OK
to terminate the application.'

Ouch, that hurts. I think you are referring to Lsass.exe, which is the
Protected Storage service which provides protected storage for sensitive
data, such as private keys, to prevent access by unauthorized services,
processes, or users.

Goto Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services

Scroll down to the entry that says "Protected Storage". It is probably
listed as StartupType = Automatic. You can right-click it and try starting
the service. If it doesn't start or the error persists, definately repost
your question in one of the .windows newsgroups. You definately want this
fixed, and the Windows guys will be far more helpful than the database geeks
that hang out in here.
