When attempting to install Tax Cut State program a message comes up
"TaxCutAZ.exe" application failed to initalize properly (0xc0000005)
The program then terminates. Still can not get the program to load.
Any suggestions on how to correct this problem?

Right-click on the setup.exe>run as Admin

Also, check if it is vista compatible at the manufacturers site.
If not, right-click on setup.exe of it>Properties>compatibility mode>
install in XP SP2 or whatever.

I tried running it as Admin. Didn't work. I finally called Tax Cut and
they emailed me a seperate install program. Is the XP SP2 a patch for Vista?
I thought I was getting all the updates for this very slow Vista Windows.

NO, no!!
XP SP2 came out a few years ago for the XP Operating system.
It is nothing to do with vista!

Microsoft is bringing out a SP1 for vista. It has been in Beta(don't touch
it!) for a few months, and the final version of SP1 for Vista is about to
be/or has just been released for vista.

Vista is slower than XP with the same hardware.
Also, anti-virus like Norton, trend micro, McAfee will slow it down
I use 1 G RAM, I should use 2G for Vista

Hi, T L Hill.

Please expand on "tried running it as Admin. Didn't work." HOW did it not
work? What error message?

Another way to Run as Administrator is to open an Administrator:Command
Prompt window. There are several ways to do this. One is to press the
Start button and type cmd into the Search Box. The right-click on the
"Cmd.exe" under Programs and click Run as Administrator. You'll need the
Administrator password to get past point, but from here on, everything you
run from this window will "run elevated". Now run Tax Cut's Setup.exe from
here.

If it doesn't work, please post back and tell us - step by step - just what
you did and what results you saw, including - verbatim - any error message.

If it does work, please post back so that we know what to tell the next
poster with a similar problem.
