isapnp.sys missing or corrupt

I had a machine fail to reboot saying that the isapnp.sys
is missing or corrupt. I've replaced the file using the
command console but I still get the same message. Any
suggestions?

Hm... have you run chkdsk from the recovery console? That's always a good
bet when files are "missing or corrupt" when you know darn tootin' well that
they're present.

Stacy,

Make sure that your cd-rom drive is the 1e or 2e boot device and your hard
drive isn't.
Then try again to boot from CD.
