Is www service available on xp Home Edition

no, only Win XP pro has IIS (www server), but you can install a third party
service...
the most famous and open source is apache...
but you will find other ones as well

That maybe a problem with my MailEnable mail server - it maybe expects to
find IIS. I will check with them.
