is upgrade from Win98 to Win2000 possible?

I need to upgrade to Win2000 from a system running Win98.

Is this pssible? I believe it is, but was told that there
is no upgrade path to 2000. I would prefer doing an
upgrade to avoid having to reinstall all programs.

Please help. Links to directions?

I have upgraded from WIn98 to Win2K numerous times. I
just rececntly did it and got an error during the upgrade
that said winnt32.exe had caused a page fault in
kernel32.dll. Apparently, if you have QuickBooks
installed, Windows wont properly upgrade. I dont know if
you use QuickBooks, but I thought you might like to read
