Is this possible

Using Acccess 2002, I am able to open a database query from Excel & all
query data is available on the worksheet.

Is there any means whereby if data is changed on that worksheet it is also
updated back to the database?

How are you opening the spreadsheet? Try linking a table to the spreadsheet.
What do you mean by "query data is available on the worksheet"?
