Is this a good version to buy?

Looking for Windows XP deals. I really could care less about Pro is Home
is cheaper and does what I need (which it has done for years).

Post other deals and I would be glad. Thanks...

I know I need SP2 or SP3 and I cant buy a UPGRADE version.

It's an OEM version, and there's no indication that the seller is
authorized by MS. Also, look at his feedback for July 5 of 2009:

You're posting on an Apple forum for info on WinXP?

Be careful with any XP purchase over eBay. A lot of reports where the
XP delivered was "fake", "pirated" or "branded BIOS locked." There
were also reports that the XP software "never" showed up.

Thanks for this info. Saved me $80.

I sure wish he would stop with all the freaking separate threads. It's
getting old fast.

Yeah, but the guy is a Mac user. You know how they are, Jolly! They buy
Macs because they're not too bright and, after they buy a Mac, they're
not too rich either.

So, it's "Will I get Quicken for free?", "how can I save 50¢ on this FW
cable?", "is it OK if I return it after use?", "is this $5 version of
Windows really legal?" and so on.

You have to cope. Toomorron, more questions of the same type will ensue.

That's why Macs are great fun!

Agreed. Esp. since most of what he wants to know is within a hop kip and
a jump via Apple.com and/or Google.

I am so busy these days you would not believe it.

This is nothing compared to his Usenet heyday from 2000-2006, when he
was also a world class nym shifter and let a lot of weird things be know
about what should have been his private life.

A couple of us actually worked on a web page to keep tracking of all his
posting identities. We stopped in 2006 but I never took it down:

Yes thats right I acted like a child in those days and had much to
learn. If I have offended you by my questions, I will say that I have
posted much on the Apple forums in place of this group (over the past 5
years) and no one has made an issue out of posting questions. But for
some reason Mike the Kernel panics have not been as frequent as of late
and dont ask me to explain it. Watched Spider Man 3 and part of Spider
Man 1 last night without a panic which is amazing. The first movie was
so good I have seen it so many times and it rarely gets boring.
