Is this a dumb question?

Before I empty the recycle bin of ~2GB of stuff from Windows\Temp, is
everything there (that's not actually in use!) genuinely superfluous? I
don't mind a slight or temporary performance hit if Vista decides to
recreate something - at least if it gets recreated I know that it's of some
(temporary) value <g>

I'd sure like to get back that 2GB!

Thanks - Julian

Hello Julian,

Do you have any problem since the time deleting it? In this folder normally
install files etc. are located that are not used anymore.

Best regards

Temporary files are usually files that are designated as safe to delete,
this can include cached information from the Internet, left over files a
particular program uses to install itself. You can safely delete them, but
if you have program such as Microsoft Office which saves certain temporary
information which is used in the installation of certain updates and
patches, its best you thoroughly check to make sure you are not deleting it.

Thanks Andre, Meinhof & Brink...

Pretty much as I thought... no, there haven't been any problems since I
moved files to the recycle bin...

Just wanted to reassure my paranoia [of course you could all be part of a
conspiracy to delude me <g>]...

Empty bin here we come...

Thanks agin

Julian
