I am creating a page for a family book that has lines (I used underline to
make them) for adding information. When I try to type over these lines, the
line disappears and adds spaces. The formatting is messed up then. Is there
any easy way to do this. On an old Apple machine I had, there was something
called an edit cursor that let me do this. It was great. I am using Word
2003. Help!!

Look at http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/LinesInForms.htm.

Hope this helps,
