is there any fix for sorting favorites- HAVE READ ALL OTHER POSTS

Open Favorites from the menu item, not the toolbar icon. Then right click
any of them and choose Sort by Name.

You should be able to select "sort by name" when you
right-click, either in the drop-down list or
the "organize favorites" area. Of course, every time you
add a new favorite, you will have to re-sort. ;^)

Not specifically answering your question but favorg (the second) will
definitely count them for you.


You can also search for the folder "favorites" and use that like any normal
folder, clicking on the grey column headers gives you instant sorting in
more choices of order. The favorites button always seems to me to be a bit
of a waste of display space anyway.
