Is there an incompatibility issue with the new SpySweeper update?

Two nights ago I downloaded the newest version of SpySweeper, and now my
computers are not working right. The screensaver is freezing up on one and it
refuses to go into powersaving mode and turn off the monitor at the set time.
The monitor will turn off at the right time if the screensaver is not on
though. My virus scans run at night and are not getting done, the computer
freezes up while in the process of doing the scan. I have to turn the power
off on the tower and reboot to get my computer to run again. I have eTrust
Security Suite and it is freezing up when the antivirus is running. I am not
sure aobut the Pest Patrol part. The problems only started after the new
version of SpySweeper. I don't know if there is a file missing or if
something is blocked. I also don't know if it is a Spysweeper problem, a CA
problem (eTrust), a Microsoft problem, or a computer problem. Being I am
having problems on 3 computers, I am wondering if anyone else is having the
same problems. I usually leave my computers on all the time and let the
screensaver go on after 5 minutes, and the monitor turns off after 10. When I
loaded the SpySweeper on one of the computers, it did tell me there was a
problem and sent a report to Microsoft. I also had to reload the eTrust
Security Suite on that one. Does anyone have any suggestions?

The right place to ask is SpySweeper tech support. Since you have an obvious
cause-and-effect, you can pretty well determine that the culprit is their
software and not your operating system.

I would be inclined to start by using System restore and take your
machine back to the pre-update position. If things work, that proves
something.
