Is there a way to standardizes email on all my PCs?

Is there a solution to standardizes my email on all my PCs? Rather than
download locally and have different email on each PC? This is for a
home office with 1 desktop and a couple of laptops.

I assume I may need to setup a server. If so, what are the solutions?

OR, is it possible to use yahoo mail as the server and have outlook
sync with yahoo mail rather so that no matter what PC I login to, I see
the same sent/received email.

Thanks for your comments, or links to point me in the right direction.

Essentially you want to see the same emails regardless of machine you're
on.

You would either need to keep all of your email on a server. Or keep your
emails synchronized so any changes on one machine is reflected on all.

Your choices are webmail, Exchange, and IMAP.

Sigh, if you're going to use generic phrases or words then expect vague
responses. Okay, so what does "standardize" (singular, not plural)
mean to YOU?

Rather than WHAT?

Setup a server for WHAT? You haven't bothered to explain what you
want. "Standardize" is contextual in that something ELSE is implied but
you never bothered to state what it means to YOU.

Depends on the question and goal neither of which you defined.

Well, is it a *paid* Yahoo account so you can access their mail
servers? Freebie accounts don't get access and must be accessed using
their webmail interface (there are some screen-scraping solutions to
accessing free Yahoo accounts using HTTP but I don't recommend them).
Some Yahoo domains still allow access to Yahoo's mail servers but they
are few, and you never mentioned to WHICH Yahoo domain you connect.

Once you define what you actually want to do, and after defining
"standardize" (or simply getting rid of the ambiguity by defining your
goal) then someone can answer rather than guess.

Explain what happens now. Then explain how you want it different.
