Is there a way to "stall" a project?

I created two new projects in BCM, and my client backed out on the project
for the time being due to financial constraints. They are interested in
moving forward with the projects at a later date, but cannot do so now. I
don't want to delete the project, since it took so long to create the tasks.
Any suggestions for how to hold projects into a "holding pattern" without
deleting them?

Just keep don't delete the project. You can move the project's due
date far into the future until the client gets back to you.
