Is there a way to partially protect a form?

I have created a form. This form has form fields in the tables that I would
like specific data typed in. However, there are also two tables that I need
for folks to be able to type in as much or little as they like. Example - I
have 5 rows available and when you tab out of the last one a new row is
created. If I place form fields in the cells it doesn't allow for more rows.

To protect only part of the document, you need to separate the different
parts of the document by section breaks (Insert > Break - select Continuous
if you want to prevent page breaks). When protecting the document for forms,
you need to specify which sections to protect. Do this:

1. Select Tools > Protect Document to open the Protect Document task pane.
2. Check the check box below Editing restrictions.
3. In the field below the check box, select "Filling in Forms".
4. Since your document has more than one section, a "Select sections" option
appears. Click it to open the "Section Protection" dialog box. Make sure that
only the sections you want to protect have a check mark and click OK.
Now you can turn on protection and only the selected sections will be
protected.
