Is there a way to make a word document your desktop background?

I created a word document for a poster. I would like to make that document my
desktop background. How can I do this?

You'll need to convert the document to a picture.

I don't know an easy way to do that, but one possibility would be to convert
it to a PDF and then save the PDF as a JPG.

Maybe you can think of an easier way than that, but somehow you need to make
it a picture. Word really isn't the best program to make pictures in. It's
more designed for words. (Go figure.)

As others have said, you first need to convert it to a picture. One way to
do this is to use SnagIt, a very versatile screen capture program. There are
two ways to approach the task:

1. Display the document in Print Preview and capture it as a region; save as
a JPEG.

2. (Better) "Print" the document to the SnagIt printer driver and save the
capture as a JPEG.

If you want to try this, SnagIt offers a free trial version
(www.techsmith.com), but I think you would find it such a useful application
that you would willingly pay the reasonable price.

If you have Microsoft Photo Editor do this: With the Word doc on screen hit the Prt Scr key which will copy the desktop scene to the clipboard. Open MPE and hit the Edit tab then Paste as New Image. Then hit the Select cropping tab and determine what you want to appear as the wallpaper. You will need to hit the Edit & paste as new image tabs again before you hit the File & Save As tabs. Choose where you want to save it, give it a name & Save it. It could be saved either as a .gif or .png format. Then go through the motions to add it to your wallpaper folder. DS
