Is there a way to forward messages from certain senders while away

I'm with a medium sized CPA firm. One of the partners desires to set a rule
that when he/she is away, e-mails from a given client would be forwarded to
another member of their staff.

What is the optimal way to do this?

Thank you.

If you have Exchange, you can create either a redirect or forward rule easily
enough and Outlook won't need to be running. If you don't have an Exchange
account, then a rule can forward, but you'll need to keep Outlook running
while away. Without Exchange, a forwarding rule on the server side is more
efficient.
