No text in email from only one sender

Using Outlook 2003 on XP PRO in an office environment. Have McAffee
antivirus enterprise. Begining yesterday one recipient is having problems
with one internal sender. When he gets an email from this sender, there is
no text in the body of the email. If she sends to any one else in the
office, no problem. If her email is forwarded by a person to the guy having
this issue, the forwarded email has no text in the body even though the first
recipient could read it. If the guy who has no text in the message from this
one sender hits the "forward" button for this message, the text appears in
his forward message. This began out of the blue, no changes have been made
to either PC. I am totally confused on this. Thank You

Are you sure no changes were made? Perhaps the McAfee program updated itself
yesterday without telling you. What you describe is a frequent symptom of an
antivirus program scanning email, something that's never necessary as long as
the AV program's on-access or real-time scanner is operational.

But why would the McAffee update (if that is what caused the problem) only
effect one sender to one recipient and no one else throughout the entire
office? One more thing I failed to mention, the sender is using Outlook
2007, the recipient is using Outlook 2003. Neither of these are the only
ones using these programs, we run about 40/60 - 2007/2003. Thank You

DId you check to see if a template has been changed?
Remember we saw this at one time - if you open the message and select
all in the message, do you see the text?
Maybe a message in 'stealth' mode...

Beats me, but it can happen. That's why I never scan incoming or outgoing
mail. It affords no added benefit and often leads to errors. That's not
saying that the AV program is definitely what's causing your problem, but it
sure is a common symptom of that. When diagnosing a problem, it's always best
to eliminate as many variables as possible.
