Hello,

I have received a spreadsheet that has been re-sorted, and now I don't know
what the original order was of the entries. Is there a way to find this out?

TIA for your replies.

Phil.

I'm not aware of a way if it was resorted before it was sent to you.

No. Unless there was a key column on which the sort took place and you could
derive the original order from that.

Some people like to place sequential numbers down a spare column before
sorting so's they can always return to the original order using that column
for re-sorting.

Perhaps the originator of the worsheet has a copy of the unsorted sheet that
could be sent?
