Is there a way to download just new messages from the pop server?

Whenever i try to send / receive pop mail i get every email (even the old
ones) so i get duplicates in outlook and it's a mess. Is there a way where i
can get just the new messages?

You obviously have your options set to leave the messages on the server.
Change that and once you have received the mail it will be deleted from the
server. If you don't you will soon reach the server's capacity...
