Hello,

I have a pamphlet that I would like to number the footer as follow:

First Page -> blank

Second Page -> i

Third Page and forward -> 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc

I've created separate section for First Page, Second Page, and Third Page
and forward. My problem is when I created a footer on page 3 starting with
1.1, page 4 has the same numbering. I want page 4 to have 1.2, page 5 to
have 1.3 and so forth. I can't seem to make it work.

Please help. Thank you.

Unless you are including a chapter number to produce the first 1 (see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Numbering/ChapterNumber.htm), you'll need to just
type it and the period. Then use the Insert Page Number button on the Header
and Footer toolbar to insert a { PAGE } field to produce the incrementing
numbers. You will need to use the Format Page Number to set the numbering to
start at 1.
