Is there a limit to the number of OSes on a hard drive?

Is there a maximum number of OSes that can be put on a hard drive? Suppose,
for example, that I want to have Windows 98 SE, XP Pro, Vista & Linux on a
hard drive & choose one to boot into. Can that be done? Does Windows 98 SE
have to be on the C: partition?

Thank you.

Sure that can be done. One caveat - MS seems to pretty much insist on
being installed to a primary partition - of which there can only be four
on a drive - Linux, generally, could care less. I have several systems
with four to eight different OSs on them.

Windows 98SE \Windows does not have to be in C:. However the system
partition, which is typically C: and contains the boot files, must be
FAT(32), a file system that Windows 98SE can read.
