Dear friends,

I am having a question with word indexing. I am marking the entries for
index and updating it. By default it arranges from A-Z or 0-9. Will i be able
to change the headings of the index after or before updating? say i want to
have heading as "AAA" instead "A".

This is accomplished with the \h switch, described in the "Field codes:
Index field" Help topic as follows:

\h "Heading"
Inserts text formatted with the Index Heading style between alphabetic
groups in the index. Enclose the text in quotation marks. The field { INDEX
\h "— A— " } displays the appropriate letter before each alphabetic group in
the index. To insert a blank line between groups, use empty quotation marks:
\h "".
