Is the WMA Converter LE Freeware Still Available?

Hello.

There used to be a freeware Limited Edition (LE) WMA encoder that
would convert wave files to WMA at 64 or 96 bitrates.
I think it was part of a bonus pack.

The full version is part of Windows XP Plus, which lets you choose
other bitrates, and convert MP3 files, too, if I recall.

I tried to find the LE version today, and downloaded a Windows Media
Player bonus pack. The WMA encoder LE that's in this bonus pack
(MPBONUS_FULL.EXE) is not the same thing.

Does anyone know if the WMA Encoder I'm referring to is still
available, and if it is, where I can get it?

Or, did Limited Edition mean for a limited time only?

Thank you!

I really have no idea, but the Windows Media Encoder will encode at any
bitrate and convert from MP3 and its free. Also, a nice little program
called dBpowerAMP will do it (any bitrate) for free.
