LKGC are the system settings used when the OS last loaded successfully.
IF one restarts the system *more* than THREE times, then LKGC will no
longer be able to load.
'restore a previous registry' is *not* the same and can be any previous
backup of the registry; whether it actually loads the OS or not depends
on the integrity of the backed up registry.
Why do you ask ?

MowGreen said:No. If a system boots *normally* then LKGC is still intact. The boot 3
times limit only applies when a system does *not* boot normally.
The registry contains one CurrentControlSet and 2 backups of it.
LKCG relies on the CurrentControlSet to load the software and hardware
settings that were previously loaded successfully.
If the system can not boot normally using CurrentControlSet, using LKCG
will defer to CurrentControlSet001.
If no joy, then it will attempt to load the remaining CurrentControlSet.
Which adds up to 3 chances to use LKCG.
