Is refilling inkjet cartridges viable?

Is refilling inkjet cartridges viable?

I have an Epson Stylus Photo 1270 inkjet printer.

Do the refilled inks have the same lightfastness as the original Epson inks?

Do they clog the printers more than the original inks?

With Canon it is. Individual ink tanks makes it
very easy. Sorry, don't know about Epson.

I don't

Some cliams better and last longer than original, but who knows.

I have been refilling for 4-5+ years with no problem, so I don't know.

But you have 3 choices

1) Buy original Epson ink which is very expensive

2) Buy compatible ink which costs around $3 for Black and about $5 for
color

3) Or you can buy CIS (Continuous Ink System) then you don't even have
to refill but you can refill by pouring the whole bottles of ink to
the bottles connect to the special ink cartridge. The CIS unit
costs around $90-150 depending on the company you buy (I think
there are around 3-4 companies making CIS).

Is refilling inkjet cartridges viable? Definitely

I have an Epson Stylus Photo 1270 inkjet printer. 1280 here--very similar

My source is MIS--they claim better thatn Epson, but the real
advantage is when you go to pigment inks
Do they clog the printers more than the original inks?
Opinions differ---there is no fundamental reaon that 3rd party dye
should be any diffrent in this regard thatn Epson ink. As for
Pigment, Epson does not offer it for the 1270, so theres no comparison
