Is Partitioning with XP Pro safe?

Is partitioning with XP Pro safe after a clean install? I
want to partition new 80 GB HD and load Linux in the newer
smaller partitioned disk. Is it safer to start over with
FDisk or a partition utility or is XP safe to use?
 
I don't understand what you mean by safe.
It's exactly like using FDisk, it's just a different
utility.

It does not have the ability to resize partitions, but if
you have unpartitioned space, you can create a partition
using XP and do whatever you want with that space.
