The disk has one primary (C), one logical (F) both NTFS
type, and one unallocated partition (1/4 of the total
drive size). In addition, one FAT and one F32 partitions.
Under XP Pro(2003)provides a solution to allocate the
unallocated partition: using the disk management
instruction: "right click on the unallocated region of
the diks, ...". This instruction is listed under help. XP
Pro could not do it! Why?

After failure using the XP Pro instruction, I used
Partition Magic 8 to allocate the unallocated partition.
It could not do it either. The size of the disk is 160 GB.

Plese help.

What computer do you have? Many of the over-the-counter retail systems,
such as HP, Compaq, sometimes will use a protected partition to keep their
system restore files.
