Is my archive.pst corrupt?

When moving out of the office at my previous workplace (office97), I saved
my e-mails-archive ('archive.pst') onto cd. I am now trying to use that
archive with my current outlook 2002.
However, it appears as if nothing happens when opening the archive in
outlook: Outlook seems to open that (an) archive, but I see only the
default "personal folders" - nothing that I had archived.

I've tried to "import" the archive into Outlook with the same effect.

I've tried the scanpst.exe, which finds no errors;

It is ~350 Mb worth of correspondence which I'd hate to do without

Transfer the .pst file from the CD onto your hard drive and remove the "Read
Only" attribute. Then, try to *open* (not import) the .pst file from within
Outlook.
