Is it possible to recompile .Net CF source code for Windows 2000

I have developed a software using Microsoft Visual C# .NET, which can run
under Windows CE.NET. The software is running in a CASIO (DX-T10) device and
controlling WJ RFID Card.
When I started the project from the Microsoft Visual Studio .Net, I selected
Smart Device Application.
Now, we would like to use the same WJ RFID Card from a Laptop, which
operating system is Windows 2000 Professional.
Is it possible to recompile the same source code for Windows 2000, Windows
XP, etc. operating systems and different processor?
I will be pleased, if you let me know the way to accomplish the above issue.

Managed code is processor independent. CF assemblies are retargetable.
