Hello all,

I have a local xp user that needs access to a folder located on a W2K3
file server. Both computer and server are part of the same domain.
I would like this local user to be able to access such network folder.
Is it possible ? It seems that I can only include either domain
resources or local users of the file servers.

Is there a work around for this ?

Thanx,
Bar

No - you can't add a local workstation user to a domain group. You might be
able to set up a matching account (identical password) on the domain to see
if it passes through - although the password changes won't sync & will
require manual resetting on the local account.

Honestly, why is the user not logging into the domain? I don't create local
user accounts for people - always have them use the domain account.
