Is It Possible to Configure FP Defaults?

Changing Page Properties defaults:
Is there a way to change the "Custom" Page Properties. It
automatically puts the version of FrontPage and the editor in the
headers. I don't want either of these but I do want a prompt for
Description and Keywords. Is there a way to change the default Custom
Page Properties setup?

Changing table defaults:
The great majority of my tables are centered and have no border yet
the default is a border of 1 and left justified. Is there a way to
change the default table setup?

Sorry, no for Page Properties.

For Table Properties, FP will remember some of the settings when you have used the Table Menu to
insert a table.

As for the generator tag, try the free "No FrontPage Meta" from Jimco Addins: www.jimcoaddins.com
( note: FP 2003 has this feature built in )

As for the Table issue.

In the table dialog panel that opens when you click Table > Insert > Table, set the settings you
want and then check the box:
"Set as default for new tables" and then click OK.

Thanks for your reply. Does FP 2003 permit customizing the default
META commands?

No, but you can modify the default new page, normal.htm to add a default set, so that each new page
has them. Normal.htm is located in a folder under the FP application, just do a search for it.

Another way to configure tables. This is handy if you have more than one
table setup that you use repeatedly. Use a separate folder for this. For
each kind of table that you want, make one page with only that table on it.
Then whenever you want that kind of table, just insert that page in the
right place. You willl get exactly what you want. If you do this often, you
can put the insert file command on the toolbar.

Gosh, I'm really glad I took the time out to ask. That serves my
needs perfectly well. I've been tripping over these issues for 4
years. You guys are great.
