Yah, when you create the table look at the bottom left of the Insert Table dialog box...you see something like: Set As Default for New Tables...something like that.
How do you change the default settings within FP? For example, each time I insert a table the alignment default is "left". I would like to change the alignment default to "center" as the majority of tables I insert need center alignment and I have to change each one as I insert it. Is there a way to change the defaults FP comes with. Thank you very much.

Use Table Menu | Insert Table and FP will then remember your settings.

I'm not sure about changing the default settings, but here is another
solution, especially if there is more than one kind of table that you use
repeatedly. In a separate folder, you put each kind of table on a page of
its own. Then, when you want to use that kind of table, you just do an
insert>file and insert the page with the table you want. >insert>file can
be put on the toolbar, and it remembers the last folder you used, so the
process can be fast.

You can do the same with anything else that you use repeatedly, like "Click
here" or "Go to the Photo Albums page" or whatever.

Thank you very much for your help. Thomas -- I did what you said and it
remembers to insert a table with the alignment as I specified it. However I
also specified Rows, Columns and Fonts -- and it doesn't remember these.
Seems like it should remember these too if it remembers alignment. Any
thoughts on this?

You need to keep going in that dialog...Style, Font, etc.

Thanks, Rob. That's what I did, but it doesn't remember those things --
only the alignment. I'm obviously doing something wrong but I've tried over
and over and it won't remember any of those changes. Any ideas?

Sorry, columns and rows will always default to 2 and fonts doesn't apply to tables.

By this process, you will also keep the same number of rows and columns.

Thanks again, Thomas. At least I won't go nuts wondering why these things
won't work. Really appreciate it!
