Is it Okay to Publicize One's Own Outlook Related Product Here?

The Terms of Use for this group didn't, if I'm not mistaken, say that
mentioning one's own Outlook add-in is disallowed but I also don't know what
common use governs this group. I've deleted my signature information from
this post just in case (so that even this message can't be construed as an
advertisement, as it were).

Obviously a message touting a product could simply be ignored by those who
aren't interested, but some groups have very strong feelings about
self-promotion even where it's not technically forbidden.
