Or are Socket 939 Athlon X2's suddenly like gold dust? I checked a few weeks ago and they were really coming down in price... 4000 X2, 4600 X2 and 5000 X2... now I can barely find any!

I was gonna do a straight upgrade from my 3500+ to a 4600 X2, but now I'm looking at almost as cheap to buy a bundle and upgrade to AM2 anyway! Then of course it's DDR2 memory so that's more cash...

That 4400+ is tempting. When I built this one ages ago it was nigh on £400. Has 1mb cache and I reckon I could push it a fair way further than 2.2ghz.

Hmmm.

Reckon I should wait longer?

i have a 4400 i can get it to 2.5Ghz without putting anymore voltage throught it but it gets up to 52C under full load with the standard cooler
