Is it ethical for Microsoft to offer online services?

I saw an analysis in Techblog. The main argument is that there are
many people inside Microsoft who believes that using proprietary
software is not recommended. And MS is actually putting millions of
its users at risk.

And interestingly they themselves are running Linux!

The primary problem with Linux is that their supporters are so arrogant
about it that they don't listen to the need to make Linux more useful. Linux
people need a change of attitude. Perhaps Microsoft has realized that Linux
people will never change their attitude and therefore Microsoft is safe. I
truly believe that it is the counter-productive attitude of Linux
enthusiasts that has prevented Linux from being used more than it has.
